Donald,

You're absolutely right.  But, there is something a little more
attractive/fetching about the Cube vs my Dented 1995 Crown Victora.

I don't think I would do that to Drupal. i.e. associate an amazing
content management system with a crusty old jalopy.

The other thing is that my car is nearing the end of its life.  Even if
it was cool enough to decorate with Druplicons I'm not prepared to pay
to get it done when it could be going to the scrap heap any day now.

But, if I don't win - my car bites the dust - and I do decide to buy a
new car - I'll certainly be entertaining the decoration idea. (It will
depend entirely on the type of car I would buy - and whether at that
point I have extra cash to pay for decoration after paying for the car).
