[DUG-TO] News / MLM / Send modules

For one of the sites I had worked on, I had looked into the News  
Module and ultimately went with the Simplenews Module (+ some site  
specific alterations to get the intended behaviour) - it is well  
maintained and has a fair amount of flexibility.

What do you need the particular module to be able to do with respect  
to Newsletters?
