[DUG-TO] Extensions of downloaded files

 Hello DUG-TO,

This is my first time posting, so hello, I'm Alison.

I have a 5.x site. When I download files users have uploaded, e.g., with the
path:

.../?q=system/files/draft_project_flyer.doc

The name of the file, once it's downloaded, changes to something random
like: kJaOsJh+.doc.part (on Firefox 3)

I then have to specify an application I want to open a file.

How can I make it so that when files are downloaded from my drupal site,
that their name/extension doesn't change? I can only get uploads to work if
my file system setting are private.
