Yes, a great plan. :-)

And yes, Open Source Week! So I will make a brief plug for an event
that week which may be of special relevance to some on this list:

The Open Source Showcase for Non-Profits, Oct 26:
http://ontariononprofitnetwork.ca/opensource-showcase

"The showcase is a low-cost event where members of the non-profit sector
can learn about open source projects relevant to their work, from people
who create and support these projects....Experts will be on hand from
many different kinds of open source projects....This is a chance to get
a non-profit-focused perspective on how organizations can benefit from
these high quality, freely available tools."

So there are two kinds of people who I hope will be excited by this event:

1. People at non-profits who use open source and/or want to learn more
about it

2. Developers/consultants who use open source in supporting non-profit
organizations, who might be interested in talking about Drupal, Linux,
Openoffice, whatever...we have several presenters already, but it can't
hurt to have more

For more info, and to register, check out the link...
http://ontariononprofitnetwork.ca/opensource-showcase

And as the saying goes, "please forward this on to everyone you know". ;-)

Thanks,

--Julian
