[DUG-TO] Drupal Design Workshop

Thanks Reg,
I think as we design the theme we should keep the functionality rather open
ended. This isn't to say that we shouldn't define a target, I just feel that
if we make a theme for Drupal, people will use it in ways
we haven't imagined. I think it is important to
offer moderately stylized themes, as many people aren't inclined to do this
themselves. I also feel that there are many starter-type themes out there,
so maybe creating a sub-theme for zen or NineSixty would be helpful.
I would like to see the use of CSS3 in the theme design. I understand that
this is not available to all users etc., but it will be. I think building a
theme that embraces these features will help it gain popularity as these
features do. I also feel that as a contributed theme it does not have to
appeal to all users, as a core theme might, rather contribute to the niche
of designers interested in a contrib theme with CSS3 features.
Thoughts?
