I'm not near your location, and not sure if this helps very much, but here
are the text instructions from Google Maps for the trip - the last part
should correspond to the walking instructions from the subway.

1.Head *south* on *Yonge St* toward *Soudan Ave*

2.Turn *right* at *King St W*
0.6 km
3.Take the 3rd *right* onto *University Ave*
76 m
4.Take the 1st *left* onto *Pearl St*
Destination will be on the right
0.2 km

I'm not clear on how a visually disabled person makes out a new building...
This one is on the north side, is between a couple of parking lots if I
recall correctly, and has a recessed entrance towards the west end of the
building. I don't expect to be able to make the meeting tonight, but perhaps
someone could be at the subway or at the building entrance if no one is
travelling from Yonge & Eglinton.
